The day after my daughter and niece went sand boarding on the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes I was inspired to visit them
myself. In the late afternoon I hiked out carrying all my photography equipment on my back. After an exhaustive 2 miles through the sand I realized I was completely alone. I could no longer hear any noises and no other people were in sight. In the silence I took a few quiet moments to meditate and self-reflect. As the sun started to set, the silent hill in front of me turned to gold, contrasting with the deep blue background. This photo can be printed as large as 40"x60"
